Lemons are Yummy!!
We were all ready for the sour face, and all we got was a 8 month that took down a lemon like it was candy!
Thanksgiving
So we packed up the kids and headed to the mountains. My cousin took in my family and my brothers (thats 4 kids under 4) and hosted a unforgettable day. The table was beautiful, the food was amazing. Finleigh got her turn to sample mashed potatoes, although she did not think as highly of them as her brother did a few years ago.
We took the jeeps, bikes, rhinos and FJ out on the trails where Aunt Amanda was a trooper all the way!! The kids got to climb by the creek, and the baby girls slept in their carseats safe and sound. We then ventured to a 50's diner where they had GREAT burgers, fries and shakes. Bear particulary loved his chocolate shake. Finleigh just knawed on a lemon slice and was happy as a clam.
Next we were off to Big Bear with Uncle Chad and crew. We stayed at this great cabin/hotel by the lake where Maddon and Cole had lots of fun exploring. The mommies stayed in while the kids crashed and the Daddies hit Chad's place. The next morning we woke up to SNOW!! And alot of it. We were not prepared for 6-8 inches that had fallen early in the morning. But it was beautiful.
We packed up and headed to a sopt for breakfast/lunch, where Uncle Chad got stuck in the snow trying to tow the Rhino in the snow with no chains or 4WD. But we made it, had a great meal and then headed down the hill. I am so grateful to have these times, and I hope that there are more to come!!

Jack's 7th Birthday
We headed out to the Valley to see our buddy Jack play some baseball and have a little BBQ after. Maddon had fun playing with all his toys and eating all the food. Jack was a little camera shy but I think he had some fun. The Oreo cake was a big hit, Ava and Maddon both cleaned their plates!

River Trip
Maddon is a veteran, but this was Finleigh's first trip to the Colorado River. We stayed in Grandma and Pop Pops new trailer, nicer than most hotels. Maddon loved the flat screen in the living room where he watched Curious George. He also had a blast with his cousin Cody, playing in the trailer, in the water and on Uncle Donnie's boat. This is a place that I have grown up at, so having my children experience this is so special to me. It made me so happy to watch them enjoy all the River has to offer.

Supper Club
Sometimes we hit the town, and others we just order some takeout. But it has become a great way to spend a Friday evening. Watching the kids play and have fun together is something that makes all the stress of the week melt away. Ava and Maddon are always having a good time, whether its a dance party or a banana break with shades on. Life is Good

Back to School
So its time for my vacation to end. Both of my babies are in day care and I am back at my job. I already miss their laughter and how to them, I am the coolest person around. But I also know the experiences they are going to have will be priceless. I do worry about missing things, Finleigh is just about to roll over and Maddon's vocabulary is growing by the day. But I know that this is the job I was meant to do, and I think my kids would want that for me. I hope.

Eugene and the Coast
Went to the Eugene Emeralds game, stadium was super old, loved it!! Then the boys went for a run in the morning through the U of Oregon campus, had some fun on the track and taking some pics. Then we were off to the coast, just a quick ride north. Where we checked into our amazing hotel over, yes over the Columbia River. Took in some sights, learned a few things about the town and had Gramma join us for a night. We also flew a kite in Cannon Beach and the boys hit the bumper cars in Seaside.

So why am I blogging. Chalk it up to a bad memory. Which is fine when you are shopping and forget the paper towels but not when you can't remember that your daughter used to make the funniest face or my son was amazing with the baseball bat at 3 years old. So its for them, I hope they will go back when they are old enough and reflect on their early years. Oh, and anyone else who wants to know what goes on in our little lives.
