Christmas Pics

Christmas 2010

What a difference a year makes. Maddon was so excited for Santas arrival, and Finleigh became an expert at tearing wrapping paper. And for mommy, even more joy in watching their faces as they opened present, after present.
We had our traditional dinner at PF Changs, Maddon had his after dinner fortune cookie, and when we asked him what his fortune said he replied "I don't know, I ate it"
After our morning of gifts at home, we headed to my Granpas to say hello and see my brother. More gifts, and good company.
Our final stop at Cailins, where she put on quite the spread. More gifts, more smiles and moments that make me so thankful for my life.

Staying safe and out of the way in the sanctuary of Maddons bed. You never know what that crazy vacuum is going to do!!

Happy Halloween!

Got to spend the day with cousins before going to the Sparks family reunion. We went to Heritage Park for some pumpkin shopping and a quick photo op. Poor Leila fell off the step, but caught herself just in the nick of time, thata girl!!

Everyone loves a good Fair!

We headed out on a Sunday to meet Uncle Chad and Aunt Amanda to hit the LA County Fair. Food, golf carts, jacuzzis, more food, games, rides, the boys had the times of their lives. The girls had a relaxing day in their strollers, next year ladies.

AYSO!!!!

Here we go! Official organized sports, our lives will never be the same. Brendan is the coach and Maddon is on the Green Hornets. Alot of falling and sliding, but learning the game one Satuday at a time.

Perfect end to Summer

The kids and I packed up and headed to the Colorado River. Brendan had a very important fantasy draft so he stayed behind. Grandma and Granpa were nice enough to let us stay with them and we had a great time!! Lots of water, sand and eating! We can't wait til next year.

the future

Maddon asks me for some assistance in planning his future. First, he lets me know he is going to marry Audrey, a lovely girl from school. Then, I will need to help him find a house that nobody lives in. And he was sure to let me know that they would not be needing cars, since they don't know how to drive. Priceless, and he couldn't have been more serious.

Taking a moment

Being at the beach today allowed me to look at my children and my life, and smile. Watching them grow and explore each in their own way is something I am always so nervous of forgetting, but so proud to be a part of. Something as simple as sitting on the sand watching your daughter eat sand and your son find a shell in the ocean can be such a breath of fresh air. Ahhhhhhh.

Summer is coming

First try with the sand table, its a buffet right?

A very happy birthday to my little man, I love you!!

Birthday Boy

Even though he isn't actually turning 4 til Sunday, Maddon has had quite the birthday celebration. We went as a family to Legoland and had a great time. It was such a perfect place for Bear to have fun and try everything!! He drove a car, went on multiple roller coasters, cruised some boats and had a blast. Hard to believe he is going to be 4!!

Liar, Liar

Oh Karma,

I can still remember vividly my mother asking me if I had taken easter candy and me telling her no. I was a horrible liar and I was caught on the spot, and so was Maddon. He had a easter egg hunt at school the day before, and brought home a basket of candy filled eggs. Not thinking, I left this basket on the kitchen table. Maddon is quite the early riser, and it is not odd for him to wander downstairs. I did realize what was on the table so I was waiting for him to come back up for the interogation. The difference between him and me, he is convincing!! I totally believed those big brown eyes.
I came downstairs to find the chocolate bunny carnage, and I asked him again. He continued to deny his wrong doing, clearly he needs to work on knowing when to throw in the towel. So we threw away the candy which did not go over well. Not sure if really knows why lying is wrong, but I still think its funny we both got busted for the same thing. Happy Easter.

Where did the time go?

You forget so fast how small they were, and the tiny little noises they make. I still have days where I can't believe I have a daughter, but I get more excited everyday at the thought of having such an amazing bond with this little lady. So we have a one year old now, she walks and sort of talks, and is so happy most of the time. She gets so excited when she is walking, and there is always big brother to chase around. Life can get a little tiring, but there is no place I would rather be.

Sleepy Mama

She makes the cutest sound when she sleeps in the car, almost like she's meditating in yoga.

Happy Valentine's Day

We are not big fans of the day but we had a great one at the beach. A beautiful day with the family, life doesn't get much better.

Superbowl Sunday: Operation Uncle Dereks

Next we headed over to Carnegie Ave where there was plenty of food and friends. Maddon had a blast playing with Ella and Jack, and Finleigh had some fun checking out the quarterback for the saints. Thanks to Derek and Ashley for such a great time, kids everywhere, when did that happen?

Superbowl Sunday

Started off the day down at Redondo Beach, having fun at the 5K. Maddon got a ride in the jogger with Uncle Kelly and Finleigh was on Mommy's back. Maddon got to try out Redondo's finest bikes, serious stuff!

Shoes

So Brendan comes in to help gets the kids ready. Maddon immediately notices Daddy's shoes. so he asks, "Daddy, why are you wearing your Old Balance?" Needless to say we were both on the floor, I love you Maddon.

Lil' Mama Lobster

Lil Mama was having some fun in the lobster pot, but Maddon wasn't so sure.

Welcome Steven Cameron!

Finleigh and Maddon got to meet their new cousin Stevie. He is such a little guy right now, but I don't think it will be long before he catches up to his cousins. Gramma was beaming with all three of her cherubs by her side.

And he's in the game!

The Bear is now in organized sports. Yes it might only be 3 and 4 year olds running around in gym with a ball, but technically its soccer. Brendan and I are so excited that he is having such a great time, and although I missed his first game, hearing the details from Brendan made it feel like I was there. The pride you feel is incredible, I think we could get used to this.
